About FIND

FIND started life as the Durham Cluster Group of WIN (Women Into the Network). In early 2008 a group of us took over the planning and running of the group with a view to helping each other, sharing business advice, offering encouragement, and we now have over 90 members on our e-mail list, all of whom are based in and around County Durham. We decided to give the group a name of its own, hence FIND (Friendship in Networking Durham) became the new name for the Cluster Group early this year.

FIND is a membership-based organisation that encourages women to reach their full potential in business. There is no fee to join, members are just requested to participate and contribute whatever they can to meetings and events.  We normally charge £12.50 per event, this includes the presentation/workshop followed by buffet/networking.

The group is run voluntary by a "Planning Team". All members are invited to attend planning meetings so if you are interested in helping us to run the group, don't hesitate to get in touch.

We use various venues for our events, however, the Marriott Hotel Durham is a regular favourite as we have complimentary use of one of their rooms if we book a networking buffet.

We run regular networking events which are varied and range from listening to professional industry speakers, to informative structured workshops and seminars, or can be organized by members to promote their own products and services.
